“割绒纳绣”系沂蒙山区流传广泛的民间艺术和实用品，其源头始于古老的沂蒙山区--著名的孟良崮战役的发生地，乃蜀绣的一种。纳绣是一种特殊的刺绣工艺手法。俗称“对针绣法”，“对绣”的精髓，在于它能把民间艺术和实际使用完美地结合在一起，构图思维朴素简洁，表达方式精练直观，对绣方式通过千针万线，在鞋垫上产生一种天然对称的图案，经过纳绣完成后将对称的图案进行“割绒”，所谓“割绒”，就是用利刃把绣好的鞋垫整体从中间割开，得到两只完全对称的同一花色但不同方向的鞋垫。割开后得到的棉线也就自然形成了“绒”。因为制作过程中包含配丝纳绣，分割开绒等工序故名“割绒纳绣”。
“割绒纳绣”作为一种纯手工纳制的鞋垫，从蜀绣的“绣”发展演变而来，之后盛行于山东沂蒙地区并被发扬至今。集棉壳制作，固定小样，加衬制模，配丝纳绣，分割开绒等工艺于一体，并于民间传统图案相结合，堪称免俗手工艺的瑰宝。其产品又以颜色丰富，花色样式繁多等为特点，不同于一般的手工艺品，所包含的图案中有古老的龙凤图腾；具有典型文化内涵的纹饰；传统的装饰吉祥图案等，全部物化于“纳”和“绣”的手工艺中。在设计制作上，将体现中国民俗的“人文、艺术、情感、自然”等要素融入其中，坚持继承传统工艺手法，使得“纳绣”和“割绒”工艺将蜀绣发扬的更加绚丽多彩，更能体现出中国传统艺术之特色。

                                             Cut Velvet-Embroidered Insole
     China Embroidery is an old-line and well-known art which appeared since ancient ages together with jade article, pottery and fabric. It’s a special way of embroidery with multi-color silk, velvet, cotton thread based on silk, cloth and so on, that's so-called needlecraft in the old days. By making up the treads into different designs like flower pattern, images or characters on certain frames, the embroideress express their emotions and thoughts during the procedure.
     It's originated from China Shuxiu, developed and widespread in Yimeng, Shandong, P.R.China, famous as Cut Velvet-Embroidered Insole. It's a treasure of folk traditional handicrafts that combines folk art, culture, sensibilities and nature well.
     Battle happened. This special way of embroidery syncretizes Chinese folk arts and practicability perfectly. All are embroidered by hand with simply, intuitionistic designs within 10days or so.
     The detailed designs and sizes from customers requests describe the outline of the designs, the embroideress embroider these with suitable cotton threads. When it's ready, with an edge, the skillful embroideress cut the velvet into two parts which are definitely symmetric. The threads
ends form the soft flannelette which can be seen clearly.
     This handmade insole is multilayer, 100% cotton, characterized by luxuriant colors with meaningful designs embroidered on it. It's soft, comfortable, ventilated, anti-bacterium and can absorb moisture and shock. It certainly will bring comfort for its cute and flexible designs.  
     The designs can be Totem, like dragon or phoenix, can be happiness, can be heroes from folklores. All are carriers of Chinese Culture. Various series have been developed such as lovely animals series, Chinese characters series, Chinese folklore series, Chinese TaiJi series (known as Chinese Shadowboxing), Beijing Opera Faces series, etc.
